Your Financial Plans Specialized for your Needs
Families involved with the Sounds of Autism receive support not only within the non-profit community, but also with trusted industry partners who can help families navigate the various government and state benefits so their child can maximize the resources and programs available to them. There are a variety of insurance benefits available to autistic children, but qualifying for them can have their own set of unique challenges. In addition, there is special needs financial planning for the parents who are looking to help provide for their child’s future while also protecting them from losing access to the government benefits they currently have.
We help with the following stages:

Department of Developmental Disabilities

ALTCS

Life Insurance

Social Security

Medicare

Special Needs Financial Planning
Introductions, Expectations & Next Steps
The Sounds of Autism Benefits & Planning team is dedicated to providing strategies and solutions to your child that will last a lifetime.
In order to give families peace of mind, we want to be as transparent as possible to set expectations, but also to be flexible and to remind you that every child is unique on where they fall on the spectrum, as well as every family introduced to us brings their own level of income and resources to the table.
As a result, every custom strategy and insurance benefit derived will be variable on those factors. In addition, changes in federal and state regulations to these programs as they evolve will also have an impact.
Next Steps
Each of the 6 stages bullet pointed above may not be applicable to every child and their family.
Justin Cairns with Next Chapter Advisory Group will be your “quarterback” throughout this process. The first step is to schedule an initial introductory conversation which will give you direction as to what the first stage will be and with what member of the Benefits & Planning Team.

Discovery Meeting
The purpose of the initial meeting is to understand the family’s current financial picture, goals they would like to achieve for themselves and their child, and any existing asset protection that may be implemented.
Design Meeting
In conjunction with a special needs planning attorney (if applicable), a financial plan is drafted that is customized to help the family address the goals they have expressed in the most efficient manner and without interfering with existing government benefits.
Deployment
Working together as a team, once the plan is reviewed to ensure the design coincides with the financial goals, the strategies are implemented for the benefit of the family.
Monitor and Manage
Plans are traditionally reviewed on an annual basis.
